CALL for PAPERS

 

The 11th International Conference on ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT OF NETWORKS will be held in SAMARKAND (https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/603/), Uzbekistan, from September 14 to September 16, 2026. The conference hotel is KOHINUR PLAZA HOTEL.

The purpose of the conference is to provide an international discussion forum for research in economics and management of networks and digital platforms.

The following topics are invited for presentation at EMNet 2026:
Theoretical, conceptual and empirical papers from all areas in economics and management of networks and digital platforms (franchising, retail and service chains, cooperatives, consortia, financial networks, joint ventures, strategic alliances, licensing, clusters, international market entry through networks, public-private partnerships, the role of blockchain and AI in inter-organizational networks, DAO as new governance form, governance of blockchain- and AI-enabled platforms, linkages between interorganizational networks and ecosystems, blockchain-based international business governance, digitalization and governance of supply networks, sustainability and digital network governance, progress in the theory of networks and digital platforms) are welcome.


SPECIAL WORKSHOPS will be organized:
"The role of AI and blockchain in interorganizational networks"
"Relationship between interorganizational networks and ecosystems"
"Sustainability and governance of interorganizational networks"

In addition, a SPECIAL WORKSHOP with the TOPIC:

"THEORY OF THE FIRM FROM A MULTIDISCIPLINARY PERSPECTIVE" will be organized (see here https://emnet.univie.ac.at/handbook-on-the-theory-of-the-firm/) will be organized.

1. Abstract: Authors who want to present a paper should submit an abstract (200 words) at as soon as possible, but no later than MAY 31, 2026.

CONFERENCE FEES

Regular Conference Fees: 360 EUR (including reception, coffee breaks, lunch, conference dinner)

Reduced Fees:  PhD students, researchers from developing countries and Non-EU Eastern European Countries are requested to pay 260 EUR

DEADLINE for the payment of the fees: AUGUST 15!

 

HOTEL

For conference participants the price for the room in KOHINUR PLAZA HOTEL is:
115 $ for double room per night (incl. breakfast) and 90 $ for single room per night (incl. breakfast).
Since September is a high tourism season in Uzbekistan, the general manager recommends that participants make their reservations as early as possible.
All participants must arrange their stay in KOHINUR PLAZA HOTEL by contacting the hotel: kohinur.plaza.hotel@gmail.com. Please also mention that you are participants of EMNet 2026 when making your booking, as this will help the hotel to identify the reservations correctly.
