CALL for PAPERS

 

The tenth international conference on ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT OF NETWORKS will be held in cooperation with the University of Palermo (UNIPA) - https://www.unipa.it/ - from September 14 to September 16, 2023, in Palermo, Italy. The purpose of the conference is to provide an international discussion forum for research in economics and management of networks.

Theoretical, conceptual and empirical papers from all areas in economics and management of networks (franchising, retail and service chains, cooperatives, financial networks, joint ventures, strategic alliances, licensing, clusters, public network management and governance, public-private partnerships, networks & platforms in digital economy, platform cooperativism, ethical issues of network governance, progress in the theory of networks) are welcome.

Special workshops about “Networks and Platforms in the Digital Economy” and “Ethical Issues of Network Governance” will be organized.

In addition, a plenary session will be organized with the topic: "The Role of Digitalization in Interfirm Networks" with representatives from the franchise sector.

 

 

Procedures for Submitting ABSTRACT and EXTENDED ABSTRACT or FULL PAPER

1. Abstract: Authors who want to present a paper should submit an abstract (200 words) at as soon as possible, but no later than  August 10, 2023.

2. Extended Abstract or Paper: A copy of the paper, or an extended abstract (4-6 pages double-spaced) must be submitted by September 5, 2023 via email: josef.windsperger@univie.ac.at and easychair.org/conferences/

 

SPECIAL ISSUE AND BOOK

We plan to publish two SPECIAL ISSUES.

The first special issue will be published in MANGERIAL AND DECISION ECONOMICS with the topic "(Re-)Configurations in Digitally Transformed Dynamic Networks". The call for papers has been published here - https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/10991468

In addition, we edit a Springer book: "Managing Networks in the Digital Economy: Alliances, Cooperatives, Franchise Chains, and Platforms" (eds. J. Windsperger, G. Cliqute, O. Galak, & G. Hendrikse)

 

FEES

Regular Conference Fees: 370 EUR (including coffee breaks, and lunch), or 450 EUR (including coffee breaks, lunch and conference dinner on Friday in MONDELLO at a beach restaurant - https://www.worldbeachguide.com/italy/mondello.htm)

Reduced Fees:  PhD students, researchers from developing countries and Non-EU Eastern European Countries are requested to pay 270 EUR (including coffee breaks, and lunch), or 350 EUR (including  coffee breaks, lunch and conference dinner on Friday in MONDELLO at a beach restaurant - https://www.worldbeachguide.com/italy/mondello.htm)

Conference dinner: All accompanying people who only come to the CONFERENCE DINNER have to pay 80 EUR.
